Many people have missed out on the drama of The Office despite noticing who Steve Carrel is in the movies “Evan Almighty”, “40 year old virgin”, and “Little Miss Sunshine”. The fact that the series has such a famous actor in it would alone make it a watched show. This half-hour comedy is based on the BBC award winning television series of the same name.
The show is from Reveille, Deedle-Dee, and Universal Media Studios and looks into the life of the 9-5 office job. It premiered on NBC in 2005 and quickly established itself as a hit. It has earned prestigious honors since its debut season and has earned critical acclaim with awards such as in 2006 The Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy, and other awards including The Peabody Award, AFI Honor, Producers Guild Award, Writers Guild Award, SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy, Ace Eddie Award for editing and a TV Critic’s Association Award for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy.
Thousands of people tune in to see the show. The show revolves around the lives of the workers at a paper supply plant. It airs at 9pm on NBC. The next show airing will be at a special time, 8:30pm eastern standard time on NBC on January 17th.
