It is thumbs up time for Steve Carell! Yes, the stunning Michael Scott of The Office has been nominated for the Best Actor – Comedy for the 14th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. For those who don’t know, the ceremony will be held on January 27, 2008 at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center.The dashing and smart Regional Manager from The Office has also been nominated for the 2008 Golden Globe award in the category – Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series (Comedy or Musical).
The awards for this one will be aired on NBC on January 13, 2008. Steve Carell has been adding great charm to The Office as its leading character. He does full justice to the expressive character of Michael Scott, who tries to be a friend to all, except Toby, a corporate representative. He is also involved in a difficult relationship with his former boss, Jan Levenson, putting him in a much-dreaded conflict between love and work. This amazing actor has also won laurels for himself as a part of a series of motion pictures as well.
By the way, The Office surely seems to be earning good brownie points with another nomination on SAG, which is for the Best Ensemble.
